Skye Murray, HR and training manager

Now a HR and training manager at Quality Care at Home, Skye Murray began her career in care as a support worker after being inspired by her mother.

Skye is a HR and training manager for Quality Care at Home and her role sees her focusing on the training of staff to ensure service users get the required care. She was inspired by her mother to pursue a career in care and started out as a support worker and has progressed through to more senior roles such as care coordinator and to where she is now.

Her role consists of completing the rotas for staff and care call schedules for  service users including the development and delivery of in house training to ensure that all staff have the required knowledge about medication, safe conduct, food hygiene and safeguarding before going out into the community.

Providing the opportunity for people to better their care experience through motivating them to do NVQs, care certificates and distance learning is a rewarding part of Skye’s role as a HR and training manager as she can enable people to excel and improve their personal knowledge.

Skye is proud to work in the care sector as she enjoys the challenge of a quick paced environment where each service user has a different requirement for their personal care. Helping people achieve their career goals and direction if one of the most fulfilling aspects of her job.

If somebody was considering a career in care, Skye says that there is nothing she can imagine doing to what she does now, helping people achieve their goals comfortably and safely.
