Harriet Sims currently works at The Forbury Residential Home, in Leominster, as an activities coordinator. She is proud to work in care and make a difference to people’s lives.
She enjoys the flexibility of her role and how each day varies so much. For example, one day she could be taking the residents out on a walk and the next day she could be joining in with a spot of karaoke or even carrying out a pampering session with one of the residents.
For Harriet, the most rewarding part of her role is coming into work each day and seeing the smiles on each of the residents’ faces and receiving such lovely feedback from the resident’s families.
If you want to pursue a career in care Harriet says to go for it as it’s a very rewarding job!
