Support Worker

Who you provide care and support to, the types of services on offer, what the role will include and where the services are based:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Herefordshire Mind as a Support Worker at The Shires. You will be working in a small, friendly, and well-established CQC-registered care home with nursing. We’re open to applications from individuals who have a NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Mental Health and Social Care, or who are willing to undertake further training to meet this criteria. You’ll be helping to create an environment suitable for the care, support and management of working-age adults with severe and enduring mental health problems.

What qualities/skills/qualifications would you like from an interested applicant?

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a mental health supportive environment, but we are accepting applications from anyone who has an awareness of mental health issues. Overall, we are looking for people with a positive outlook, who can make a valuable contribution to our service.
