Support Worker – The Shires

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Herefordshire Mind as a Support Worker at The Shires. You will be working in a small, friendly, and well-established CQC-registered care home with nursing. We’re open to applications from individuals who have an NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Mental Health and Social Care, or who are willing to undertake further training to meet these criteria. You’ll be helping to create an environment suitable for the care, support and management of working-age adults with severe and enduring mental health problems.

Qualities/Skills/Experience

• An empathetic approach; to be caring and non-judgemental
• A self-motivator; someone who can work independently and use their initiative
• Good organisational skills
• Being a team-player with an eagerness to learn
• Understanding, patience, tolerance
• The ability to display discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
