Venns Lane Care Home provides care and support services to people in the elderly category aged 65+, people who suffer dementia or cognitive impairment, physical and or mental health needs. Providing care and support as a care assistant on a day shift will include, toileting of residents, meal and fluid support and monitoring, enhancing wellbeing and sleep patterns, personal care and dressing, documentation filling.
As a senior carer you will be administering medication to residents, you will be the person in charge of the day-to-day tasks that care staff will deliver to residents, liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other visiting roles to the home. A senior carer will be completing checks on residents’ vital signs and weights to ensure wellbeing is supported and assessments be made as necessary.
A Senior carer who joins Venns Lane would require a good level of communication/written skills amongst others to work a part of a team effectively.
We are looking for someone who is confident in organising and leading a team of carers with support from Management roles.
A person who is caring and passionate for the needs of our residents and is committed to providing quality and personalised care.
A flexible approach to understanding people who live with complex needs.
A qualification in health and social care level 2/3 at a minimum is required to carry out this role but support and training will be provided and personal development can be achieved.
