Venns Lane Care Home provides care and support services to people in the elderly category aged 65+, people who suffer dementia or cognitive impairment, physical and or mental health needs. Providing care and support as a care assistant on a day shift will include, toileting of residents, meal and fluid support and monitoring, enhancing wellbeing and sleep patterns, personal care and dressing, documentation filling.
As a senior carer you will be administering medication to residents, you will be the person in charge of the day to day tasks that care staff will deliver to residents, liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other visiting roles to the home. A senior carer will be completing checks on residents vital signs and weights to ensure wellbeing is supported and assessments be made as necessary.
A Senior carer who joins Venns Lane would require a good level of communication/written skills amongst others to work a part of a team effectively.
Would need to be confident in organising and leading a team of carers with support from Management roles.
A person who is caring and passionate for the needs of our residents and is committed to providing quality and personalized care.
A flexible approach to understanding people who live with complex needs.
A qualification in health and social care level 2/3 at a minimum would be needed to carry out this role but support and training will be provided and personal development can be achieved.
