Registered Nurse (RGN) – 2 posts

The Garth Nursing Home in Kington, Herefordshire is recruiting to 2 Registered Nurses.  

The Nursing Home is a well established family run business with a CQC rating of good; we put our staff and residents at the heart of everything we do and there are opportunities for career progression.

We care for the elderly, predominantly with dementia, we also care for people in End of Life stages, people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments. All of our residents require nursing care.

The Role

• Positively support the clinical and mental health lead in providing leadership to the care staff within the service
• Maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may, from time-to-time, be required to maintain that currency of practice.
• Manage the service in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, in line with accepted best practice and within the financial plans agreed, from time-to-time, with the Registered Provider.

Skills/Qualities/Experience

• For this role you will need to be able to work as part of an established team and have good communication and IT skills needed for care planning and review.
• You must be able to deal with families at sensitive times and you must be able to establish professional relationships with other agencies.
• A current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (NMC) is required.
• You will undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
