Who you provide care and support to, the types of services on offer, what the role will include and where the services are based:

We are not your average home care company, we are Kemble at Home. We pride ourselves on looking after our staff – and our clients – well. We are an up-beat, loyal team – many of us have been with us for years.

Being a live-in carer is incredibly rewarding. You get to know the person you live with very well – you know their habits and routines, their favourite tv-programmes, their families and friends, what food they like and what makes them happy. And often, you hear the most interesting life stories.

As a live-in carer, you are much more than just a ‘carer. You are a companion, a confidante, and often a friend. Many of our live-in carers stay with the same client for a long time and form lasting bonds.

What qualities/skills/qualifications would you like from an interested applicant?

No care experience is required (although it does help!) – we will offer you the training you need to feel confident in your role.

What are the benefits of working for your organisation?

We are a strong and open team, and we love having new people join us.

  • You and the client agree how you would like to work – whether you are with them continuously or on a weekly routine
  • Each day, you will have a three-hour break which you can spend as you please.
  • We offer competitive pay rates, ordinarily from £655.20 to £836.64 a week (as at April 2021)
  • You are not alone – we are here to support you.

Why would an interested applicant want to work for your organisation?

We know how demanding it is to be a live-in carer, and we will look after you. We go out of our way to make sure you have the freedom and confidence to trust your professional instinct.

This means we will prepare you well – you will be trained to support people in all areas of life, including cooking and housekeeping, supporting with medication and personal care and helping people get out and about.

You will get your own supporting manager in the office, who is there to answer your questions and help you when needed. They will touch base with you regularly to discuss how you are doing and whether there is anything we can do to help.

Any other useful information:

What do you need?

  • The right to live and work in the UK.

  • We ask all candidates who have been offered a job to provide at least two references.
  • To disclose any criminal offences. We are obliged to check for a criminal record if we offer you a job, but previous offences by no means mean that we cannot employ you. See below to find out how we recruit people who have a criminal record.
